8 Months

It seems like I just wrote about Ryan at 7 months and here we are at 8! Although, I was a few weeks late in getting his 7-month post out there. In the past couple of weeks he has learned a few new skills and is working on his second tooth! He has done a pretty good job with the teething, he has been a little bit fussier than usual and had one night where he had a hard time getting to sleep but we are counting our blessings that so far he has gotten through teething relatively easily.

On the move! In the past week or so he has perfected rolling over! It is becoming increasingly more difficult to change his diaper. As the only time he wants to be on his belly is right after I take his diaper off! And he is learning how to move around the room by rolling to where he wants to be. He seems eager to crawl and is trying to get into position when he is sitting but so far all he has done is face-plant into the ground.

                                                                  Wanting to Crawl!!

In the past couple of weeks Ryan has also be sleeping better than ever! Praise the Lord! He is sleeping from about 6:30/7:00 to about 9/10:00, and then sleeping 7-8 hour stretches, until about 5:30-6:00. I then feed him and do a diaper change and he is back to sleep until 7:30/8. I still can’t believe it when I wake up and look at the clock, previously he was waking up 3-4 times a night.

Here are some more pictures from the last couple of weeks!

Eating cheerios with his new hat from Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Tom

I left him on top of the quilt for a min and came back to this! He was pretty proud of himself !
That’s about all in the past few weeks. He changes so fast and is constantly learning and amazing us in so many ways. We are grateful the Lord has blessed us with such a wonderful child.

Apple Pie Cookies

Apple Pie is Josh’s FAVORITE dessert. However, it is not one of my favorite things to make because I feel like it takes forever. Well, the other day I came across this recipe on Pintrest and I knew I would have to make it sometime soon. The recipe linked to a blog called “Oh, Bite it! Which is FULL of yummy recipes.  It is basically apple pie made into a cookie instead of in a pie pan and although mine did not turn out as pretty as the picture, they were still a hit with Josh and I thought they were pretty good myself!
